Zabit vs Kattar bout is moved to UFC Fight Night 163 in Moscow

The featherweight bout between Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar was originally set to take place at UFC on ESPN 6 event on October 18. A few days ago, it was announced that Zabit vs Kattar fight was taken out from Boston’s card.

According to Zabit’s Instagram post, he recently had an infection which affected his camp and preparation for the fight with Kattar. He needs more time to recover from an infection and that’s why they asked UFC to re-book this fight for a later date.

Magomedsharipov said “see you in Moscow” and confirmed that he will face Calvin Kattar at UFC Fight Night 163 event in Russia’s capital on November 9. Zabit vs Kattar will most likely serve as a co-main event alongside heavyweight bout between Junior Dos Santos and Alexander Volkov.

Zabit Magomedsharipov, the #5 in the UFC featherweight rankings, is undefeated in the UFC (5-0) and running a 13-fight winning streak. Most recently, Zabit defeated Jeremy Stephens via unanimous decision. Calvin Kattar is on a 2-fight winning streak of his own with two first-round TKO finishes against Chris Fishgold and Ricardo Lamas.
