Uzbek MMA fighter Bekzod Nurmatov, 27, dies after fight
Uzbek martial artist Bekzod Nurmatov has died in a hospital 3 days after his fight with Beslan Isaev at Absolute Championship Akhmat 100 event which was held in Grozny, Russia on October 4, 2019. It was reported by Nurmatov’s relatives to the Russian news agency TASS.
He had a stroke and he fell into a coma after the fight. Nurmatov died on October 7, early on Monday morning. He was 27 years old.
Isaev and Nurmatov fought at ACA 100 event in the welterweight division. The fight went all three rounds and Bekzod Nurmatov lost via split decision.

Nurmatov competed in MMA since 2016 and had an 11-2 professional career record.
