Umar Nurmagomedov will fight next at UFC 260 on March 27
Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin, Umar Nurmagomedov, recently made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Island 8 on January 20, 2021. In his first UFC appearance in a bantamweight division, Umar defeated Sergey Morozov from Kazakhstan via rear-naked choke submission in the second round of their bout.
Now, a few weeks later, we got some exciting news about Umar Nurmagomedov’s next fight in 2021. A 25-year-old Umar is looking to stay active and will be making a quick turnaround.
According to Khabib Nurmagomedov, Umar will fight next at UFC 260 on March 27, 2021, which is going to be a very big PPV event headlined by the heavyweight championship bout between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou. “The Eagle” did not reveal the name of Umar’s opponent at UFC 260 and his fight was not officially announced at this point. Khabib confirmed this information in the interview to the Russian broadcaster “Match TV” on February 9th.
UFC 260 will be held in Las Vegas on March 27th at the UFC Apex. Umar is currently training and preparing for the upcoming fight in Las Vegas with Khabib’s teammates that will also compete in March.
