Betting predictions and best bets for Ferguson vs Oliveira UFC 256 fight
- Tony Ferguson will beat Charles Oliveira
One of our favorite bets for UFC 256 is Tony Ferguson getting a W in a co-main event against “Do Bronx” Charles Oliveira. Even if you didn’t get Tony at better odds (under -150) we still think there is a value to bet on “El Cucuy” as long as he is under -200.
Tony Ferguson is one of the best lightweights in the UFC and despite his loss to Justin Gaethje (which we correctly predicted) he is still one of the most dangerous guys in the division. A lot of people are underestimating “El Cucuy” simply judging by his performance at UFC 249. Tony is the type of guy didn’t do his best against Gaethje but it was still a very competitive fight. Ferguson did take a lot of damage but didn’t get knocked out. He also landed 136 significant strikes of his own and was pretty close to finishing Gaethje at the end of the 2nd round.
Charles Oliveira is a tough opponent and we don’t think it will be a walk in the park for “El Cucuy” but he is a more well-rounded fighter in this matchup.
The Brazilian is riding a very impressive 7-fight win streak (with 100% finish rate) with most recent wins over Nick Lentz, Jared Gordon, and Kevin Lee. Oliveira is red-hot as of late but let’s not forget that “Do Bronx”, a former featherweight, in the past suffered losses to Max Holloway, Anthony Pettis, Ricardo Lamas, and Paul Felder.
Ferguson is a better striker than Oliveira and we can expect him to put a lot of pressure on the Brazilian fighter. This is going to be a 3-round fight at a high pace. We can really see this fight playing out in a very similar fashion to most of Tony Ferguson’s fights. We are predicting to see a lot of action, a lot of exchanges, and unorthodox techniques. Oliveira will have some success on the feet but “El Cucuy” will end up finishing him one way or another. And there is a very good chance it might get bloody along the way…
- Tony Ferguson to win inside distance – a riskier bet
If you are willing to take more risk, you might consider betting on Tony Ferguson to beat Charles Oliveira inside distance at +130 to +145 odds.
In the past, we’ve seen Tony finishing Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone via TKO in the 2nd round. He also has submission wins over Kevin Lee, Edson Barboza, Gleison Tibau.
It is not unlikely that Tony will seriously hurt Oliveira at some point in their fight and will lock a rear-naked choke or his favorite D’Arce choke (+420 odds for Ferguson to win via submission sound pretty tempting).
- UFC 256 parlay bet – Ferguson + Figueiredo to win
Our favorite parlay this Saturday includes Tony Ferguson and Deiveson Figueiredo to win their respective UFC 256 bouts and a chance to basically double your money.
