Azamat Murzakanov suspended by USADA for 2 years

The Russian UFC LHW Azamat Murzakanov Suspended by USADA for 2 Years

Just within the last few weeks USADA suspended two Russian martial artists – Khalid Murtazaliev and Ruslan Magomedov.

Well, yet another Russian fighter was caught by the Anti-Doping agency and suspended for 2 years – Azamat Murzakanov. An interesting fact, Murzakanov is an undefeated Light Heawyweight fighter with a professional record 7-0-0. Azamat was signed by the UFC in 2017 and was meant to fight at UFC Fight Night 112 event but he was pulled from the card and in the end never made his UFC debut. After that, Murzakanov has been notified by USADA in September 2017 of a potential violation of the anti-doping policy.

Azamat Murzakanov was tested positive (on September 2, 2017) for a prohibited substance boldenone which is an anabolic agent. USADA suspended the athlete for 2 years starting from the date they collected the positive sample – from September 2, 2017.

Which means Murzakanov’s suspension will already end this coming September and he will be cleared to fight in the UFC starting from September 2, 2019.

Check out Murzakanov’s last MMA fight below (against Georgiy Sakaev). What impressive about this particular fight is that Murzakanov got caught and knockdown early but he was able to recover and finish his opponent a few seconds later.

Azamat has very agressive hardcore style. In his 7 victories in the professional MMA, 5 of them Murzakanov earned via KO/TKO in the first round.
